Waters in........tides out!

I opened my first gallery/framers in 1993. Barnes was where I was born and lived in those days.
This was me, having only opened a month before.
Southern Water were digging a new ring main or something and their rather large drilling equipment struck water!
So the high street and terrace very quickly filled up with water, even as the Thames tide dropped on it's daily ritual.
No real problem, and in fact it was good for publicity because the local news did a piece on it.
Cheap advertising very useful at the time.
